On behalf of our client, we are looking for a suitable candidate to fill the position of Credit Controller in a fast-paced FMCG company.

JOB PURPOSE

• Ensure timeous collections of monies due to the company
• Liaise with lawyers on bad debts handovers
• Reconciliation of key accounts
• Sending out statements to customers and prepare monthly reports.

MAIN TASKS

• Customer vetting, appraisals
• Credit worthiness checks
• Credit limits recommendations to CFO for approval
• Creation of accounts in the system.

DEBT COLLECTION

• Ensure timely collection of debts
• Debtors hand over to lawyers and debt collectors-interest computation, compile proof of deliveries, and contracts and files submission.
• Monitor and supervise debt collection by marketing personnel.
• Follow up with lawyers/debt collectors on progress

RECONCILIATIONS

• Key accounts
• Cash accounts, handed over debts.
• Control accounts
• AP/AR suspense account

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Degree/ Diploma in Accountancy or related qualifications
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar position
