Pact Zambia Latest Job Vacancy: Social Media Management Training Consultancy


Overview

USAID/Zambia awarded a five years Cooperative Agreement to Pact Zambia to implement Zambia Community HIV Prevention Project (USAID/Z-CHPP) with the aim of accelerating progress towards Zambia’s goal of reducing new HIV infections by increasing adoption of high impact HIV services and protective behaviors with key focus on priority populations such as adolescent girls and young women. To achieve this, USAID/Z-CHPP is working with the Government of the Republic of Zambia and seven other organizations such as Young Women Christian Association (YWCA), Plan International and Catholic Medical Mission Board (CMMB). USAID/Z -CHPP is implementing DREAMS a PEPFAR initiative which seeks to address direct and indirect drivers of HIV infection among Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) aged (10-24 years). DREAMS stand for Determined, Resilient, AIDS-free, Mentored, Safe.

Position: Social Media Management Training Consultancy

Objectives

  • To increase the visibility of site-level DREAMS activities
  • To build the capacity of Mentors to document DREAMS activities and related programmatic outcomes
  • To use social media for mobilization of adolescent girls and young women and adolescent men and young men to access high impact services
  • To train Mentors on how to use photography for documentation

Z-ZCHPP seeks the services of a consultancy firm to train Mentors in Social Media Management. The training will target 70 DREAMS Mentors in Lusaka (40) and Ndola (30) respectively. The consultant is expected to fulfill the following ToRs;

Provide training participants with knowledge on how to do the following:

  • Use of the right tools and the best practices to use to decide what social media platforms are appropriate for the DREAMS Initiative to have presence on
  • How to use photography to document captivating stories
  • How to document DREAMS activities for social media platforms
  • How to develop appropriate messages for different social media platforms
  • The dos and don’ts of specific social media platforms, how to make sure you are getting the appropriate, target audience content that aligns to the organizational policies, how to avoid social media abuse including bullying.
  • Train participants how to use the built-in data analytics tools for tracking the projects progress, success, and engagement of ad campaigns.

Deliverables

  • Provide a training report
  • Conduct practical lessons in arranged DREAMS Centre/site
  • Provide sample work done by participants with pictures
  •  Show knowledge change of participants through pre and post survey results

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications, Journalism or Social Sciences
  • Experience in social media management and training
  • Proven experience working with NGOs in communications and social media management
  • Experience providing youth-friendly trainings
