Livingstone Institute of Business and Engineering Studies is a public TEVET provider under the Ministry of Higher Education. The Institute is inviting suitably qualified personnel to fill the following position.

PANEL BEATER AND SPRAY PAINTER (POSITIONS x 02)

Responsible and accountable to:: Finance & Administration Manager

JOB PURPOSE: To assess, estimate the cost of repair of damaged vehicles and communicate well with customers and ensure bodywork repair are performed to customer satisfaction.

MAIN FUNCTIONS

  • Panel beat vehicle bodies with minimum supervision
  • Operate Oxy – acetylene plant and welding machine
  • Mix colours (top coat) to match original vehicle colour
  • Cut and fix a nose cut
  • Polish and wax top coats
  • Work on fiber- glass

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must have at least 4 years working experience
  • Must have at least Trade Test Level1 Certificate from a recognized institution
  • Must have experience in auto body repair and refurbishing
