Job Description

PEST CONTROL TECHNICIAN

Duties:

The main duties of the successful candidate will include:

  • Inspect Customer buildings and premises for signs of pests or infestation
  • Determine the type of treatment needed to eliminate pests
  • Prepare Service costs estimate and Prepare quotations for Customers.
  • Use baits and set traps to remove, control, or eliminate pests
  • Apply pesticides in and around buildings and other structures
  • Design and carry out pest management plans
  • Create barriers to prevent pests from entering a building
  • Carry out any other duties assigned by the Supervisor Qualifications
  • Must have a Grade 12 Certificate (including Mathematics and English)
  • Minimum Certificate or Diploma in Pest Control related or any relevant course
  • At least 2 years of proven experience in pest control operations
  • Must have Mount Makuru – Certification for Pest Control
  • Driving license will be an advantage Competencies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Must be highly flexible and cordial
  • Must have proficient computer knowledge
  • Must have good accounting knowledge
  • Must be highly organized and neat
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the job and initiative
