Photographer Job Opportunity: BioCarbon Partners


The CFP is a USAID funded project jointly implemented by Forestry Department, ZAWA and BCP. The CFP aims to facilitate the implementation of Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and forest Degradation (REDD+) activities across a minimum of 700,000 hectares of forest within the Zambezi and Luangwa Valley ecosystems in Zambia.

BCP Limited is seeking an individual (“Photographer”) to provide photography services necessary for production of the new BCP website, brochures, and other promotional materials.

SCOPE OF WORK AND DELIVERABLES

A. Tasks

The photographer shall provide photography services to capture and deliver professional quality photographs for BCP Public Relations materials. The photographer will be required to capture images from BCP diverse set of projects both in the field (in Mfuwe, Rufunsa) and in Lusaka.

B. Deliverables:

The photographer shall deliver to BCP the following deliverables in the specified formart:

  1. Photographs(number to be agreed with BCP) capturing BCP activities, objectives and vision to be used in both domestic and international Public Relations and Marketing.
  2. Digital/electronic form of the photographs to BCP in agreed upon formats and media which can be revised/adapted for various future use.

C. Timing

The consulting period shall begin immediately following consultant selection and signing of the contract. The completion of all deliverables shall be within 15 working days from the date of contract signing.

D. Level of Effort

Consultant shall bill on a daily basis, and payment shall be made within 15 days following confirmation of the receipt of invoice. The total number of days billed against this SoW shall not exceed 10 days unless approved in advance by the BCP Managing Director (MD)

E. Reporting Relationship

The Photographer will report to the BCP MD, but will be expected to collaborate with a wide number of BCP team members in order to successfully incorporate diverse technical inputs to photographic collection.

The consultant may also be tasked with collaborating with external project stakeholders and web design firm as necessary and based on direction from the MD.

Desired Qualifications, Experience and Attributes:

A consultant or consulting firm with the following background:

  • Expertise in professional photography.
  • Experience in working in the field conditions, preferably in natural resource sector.
  • Creative in translating the company objectives and activities through imagery.
  • Expert is utilizing the latest advanced photo equipment and software tools.
