Poll Staff Needed For 2016 General Election & Referendum
PUBLIC NOTICE ADVERTISEMENT ON THE RECRUITMENT OF POLL STAFF FOR THE 2016 GENERAL ELECTIONS AND REFERENDUM
The Electoral Commission of Zambia is inviting all those who participated in conducting elections as poll staff during the 2011 Tripartite Elections and 2015 Presidential Elections to apply for consideration as poll staff for the 2016 General Elections and Referendum.
Interested persons are required to submit their application letters indicating the position being applied for to the Office of Town Clerk/Council Secretary in their respective districts.
The application letters must be accompanied with copies of the following documents:
- Curriculum Vitae
- NRC
- A Grade 12 Certificate
- ECZ Certificate or Letter of Appointment
- Transfer letter (for those who may have relocated to other districts)
School leavers meeting the following selection criteria are also encouraged to apply for the position of polling assistant or usher. The application letters must be accompanied by relevant supporting documents and submitted to the office of the Town Clerk or Council Secretary in the applicant’s town/district of residence.
Qualifications
- A Grade 12 Certificate with passes in English and Mathematics;
- A tertiary qualification will be an added advantage;
- Registered voter;
- Zambian with a green National Registration Card.

- Be non-partisan, sober minded, self-motivated and of mature character
- Have integrity
- Be a good team player
- Be able to obey lawful orders and implement them at short notice.
