Pre-Sales & Consulting Engineer – Networking, Collaboration, Security, Data Centre and Cloud

We currently have an opportunity available for a Pre-sales Engineer. This position will be responsible for sales, technical Pre-sales Consulting Engineering, assisting in developing statements of work, network design, assembling bill of materials, and attending business appointments with Account Managers as a technical lead. The ideal candidates should have a passion for technology in the area of expertise, be innovative and customer focused, and solutions oriented with a drive to improve existing business processes. The candidate should have experience in 2 or more areas of  expertise below:

  1. Enterprise Network Solutions
  2. Unified Communications Collaboration Solutions
  3. Cyber Security Solutions
  4. Data Center Solutions
  5. Cloud Solutions

Each role entail the following:

  • Work with the Sales Team to sell and position solutions in the area of specialization.
  • Provide pre-sales support to identify and present solutions that meet the business and technical requirements of customers.
  • Attend customer meetings to assist account managers with presentations, technical white boarding/reviews.
  • Use the Solution Center to provide customer demos and trainings.
  • Work with internal departments to develop valid solutions and pricing.
  • Update the sales team and technical teams on new products and services.
  • Verify correct bill of material for proposed solutions.
  • Assist with the technical write-ups for executive summaries in bids.
  • Provide effective collaboration and teaming with multiple internal teams and multiple levels of the business.
  • Knowledge of baseline SE skills and in-depth knowledge in the specific technology for the area of expertise chosen.
  • Keep up-to-date on relevant competitive solutions, technology, product and service offerings.
  • Position consists of a blend of 70% sale/pre-sales and 30% post-sales or quality assurance work.
  • Able to manage work load and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced corporate environment
  • Strong customer-facing and relationship building skills.
  • Must be able to persuade and influence senior enterprise IT Architects and C-level executives.
  • Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive means.

BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required and IT certifications in the area of expertise, Cisco CCNP, Checkpoint CCSE etc
