Production Planner

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a 12 months rolling treatment and packing supply plan and inventory position for crops in our Chongwe plant associated with seed processing (drying, cleaning and sizing), quality testing and distribution of packed seeds in line with the short term demand plan
  • Establish excellent working relationships with key players in the field production, processing plant and customer operations teams serving our commercial (sales) organisation
  • Balancing supply plans and tactical plans

Qualifications, Experience & Skills required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management and Production Management
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of supply chain planning processes
  • Demonstrated understanding of ERP systems, data management and office programs (SAP an advantage)
  • Three to five years of experience in planning with a world class company that has a well-defined supply chain process (ie. seed industry, supermarkets, motor industry, manufacturing)
  • Strong team-working (player) across functions, cultures & geographies
  • Sense of urgency with ability to prioritise
