Project coordinator Job Vacancy In Zambia

Kukula Capital (KC), a leading Zambian venture capital firm, and the Danish Institute for Human Rights (DIHR), a global leader in the field of human rights, business and development, have launched a 3-year innovative project focusing on how business can support improvement of quality of life for Zambian employees and increase motivation and productivity.
Position: Project coordinator for human rights project with Kukula Capital and the Danish Institute for Human Rights
The Project Coordinator will have three overall areas of work:
- Technical project cycle management
- Lead on implementation of project activities
- Project related investment management, including due diligence in terms of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors and implementation work for new investments
The specific tasks of the Project Coordinator include, but are not limited to:
- Project cycle management, including work plans, progress reports, statistical analysis, budgets and financial reports
- Provide logistical and technical support to implementation of project activities as well as ad hoc strategic implementation of project-related activities in KC portfolio companies
- Provide background research and analysis on human rights and business in the Zambian context, in close cooperation with KC and DIHR
- Contribute to development of manuals, guidelines and strategies to be implemented at KC portfolio companies
- Ensure the project activities are in compliance with human rights standards and best practice
- Ensure that the results of the project are communicated effectively to stakeholders in Zambia and abroad
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree within the field of Business Management, Public Administration, Development Studies, Human Rights, Organizational Development or Human Resources
- Interest in business development, human rights, human resources, administration and communication
- At least 5 years’ relevant work experience
- Fluency in English. Proficiency in local languages will be considered an advantage.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office
- Exposure to investment management will be considered an advantage
- Experience with administration of international development projects will be considered an advantage
The Project Coordinator will be assigned as an external consultant to DIHR and the contract will refer to local terms. The Project Coordinator will work out of Kukula Capital office, Lusaka and report through a formalized procedure to DIHR regarding the core technical and content elements of the project. Day-to-day reporting will be to the MD of Kukula Capital.
