JOB TITLE: PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

PROPERTY MANAGEMENT & INVESTMENTS

Our client is specialising in Property Development, Management and Investment.

We are seeking to employ a Property Development Manager who will report to the Board of Directors. This is an opportunity for a highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual to lead the Company and to put his or her own personal stamp on its future development.

The Company has committed local and international promoters and already has under its management an existing portfolio of properties located in Lusaka, Southern and on the Copperbelt provinces.

The candidate will be required to grow the business by identifying viable new property development and investment opportunities, conducting rigorous project appraisals, developing project proposals and arranging and managing the economic sourcing of funds and development contractors.

The candidates will have to be educated to degree level, either in areas such as Construction Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Building Science, or alternatively in a discipline related to project management, Project Finance, Banking or Economics.

Most important however is the work experience which should include a minimum of 5 years in project development, project management and project financing, ideally in the property field.  The experience should include working on substantial projects which the candidates have successfully managed from inception to delivery, on time and within budget, and where they personally have taken much of the direct responsibility to ensure the various milestones were achieved.

To succeed in this job the candidate will need to be both highly analytical and results orientated, as well as being a persuasive communicator with an energetic and enthusiastic personality which is able to motivate and commit internal teams and investors.
