Main Purpose

Based in Kitwe and directly reporting to the Retail Manager, the Territory Manager (Copperbelt) is directly responsible and accountable for sales activities on the Retail network on the Copperbelt and North Western Provinces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion HSSE as a personal value to ensure Health, Safety, Security, & Environment (HSSE) to ensure culture is exhibited and practiced in running the Retail operations and in accordance with Puma Safety & Operating standards.
  • Execute business plans and business development programs aimed at optimizing business performance, delivering cash, volume, profit and cost targets.
  • Manage portfolio compliances, both statutory and operational, including but not  restricted to trade licenses, regulatory compliances, credit policy compliances and business contracts and ensure the portfolio is kept fully compliant and up to date in terms of validity of compliant requirements and contracts.
  • Manage performance on the premise of continuous improvement and competitive benchmarking; executing capex, projects and revex  within known and defined Delegation of Authorities (DofA), Budgets, KPIs and CVP process.
  • Provide coordinated and effective portfolio communication with Dealer and other support services and achieve results.
  • Coordinate Retail site maintenance within agreed budgets and in close liaison with relevant functions.
  • Providing support to the sales team and attending ad hoc requests such as local promotions and organising events, including team meetings.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Education:

  • A university degree in a technical or commercial field.
  • Five years working experience in Business,  Commercial or Sales.

Competencies and experience:

  • High level of analytical, negotiation, communication, interpersonal and entrepreneurial skills.
  • Strong leadership and competencies in problem solving, coaching, planning and organisational skills.
  • Computer literacy in business applications and an out of the box positive thinker and operator.
  • Self driven; ability to work independently and ability to make wise decisions.
