Quality Control Executive – Ipsos in Zambia

JOB PURPOSE

  • To establish, implement and monitor process and procedures of the Fieldwork, CATI and QC Departments, both inter-departmental and intra-departmental, to ensure the operations are run cost-effectively and efficiently
  • To take responsibility for assisting in the day-to-day investigatory procedures involved in Interviewer Quality Control requirements
  • Quality standards should be monitored to ensure compliance across all aspects of the operations functions

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES

  • Manage the operations of the QC department to ensure resources are well planned and allocated to carry out the jobs
  • Implement and monitor the process and methodologies to ensure compliance of the international standards
  • Set up standards and mechanisms to control and minimize the costs for control and budgeting purposes
  • Manage the provision of QC updates to ensure the procedures and schedules are complied
  • Train and monitor the performance of QC staff
  • Ensure sampling principles are executed in field
  • Carry out quality validations, ensuring compliance with the set procedures
  • Keep up-to-date on Interviewer Quality Control standards and ensure these are met to the highest possible standard
  • Effective use of FMS, Word and Excel
  • Use benefit of experience to determine appropriate cost-effective course for case being reviewed
  • Analyze data from validations and take appropriate action regarding poor results
  • Liaise with Operations Manager/ RM’s to determine appropriate course of action is implemented
  • Monitor interviewers following the intervention and follow up as appropriate and in timely fashion
  • Keep FMS updated with pertinent details
  • Self-development and development of others
  • Feedback appropriately and in timely manner, when serious concerns arise affecting project
    completion/targets
  • Familiarize oneself with the requirements and correct methodology for each of the continuous Field Projects.
  • Ensure consistency of processes across the all projects
  • Continually review efficiency and effectiveness of processes and streamline as appropriate.
  • Ensure all relevant information and documents within your domain can be assessed and understood by the Quality team during your absence, including use of Field SharePoint

QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this role the candidate should have:

  • A relevant first degree
  • Excellent command in English language, both verbal and written
  • Over 6 years’ experience in fieldwork and QC, 3 of which are on managerial level

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Resourceful with good knowledge of the labour market
  • Various interview methodologies and techniques – including outdoor, CATI, qualitative
  • Knowledge and expertise in QC and Interviewer’s training
  • Knowledge and expertise in all sampling methods
  • Good interpersonal skills
