The Public Service Commission is inviting suitably qualified Zambians  to fill vacant position in the Business Regulatory Review Agency (BRRA) under the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry
Director Business, Regulatory Review Agency
Job Purpose
To oversee and coordinate the development and implementation of business regulatory reform intervention in order to reduce administration and statutory burden on business.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Permanent Secretary and shall be responsible for;
  • Overseeing timely, the review of proposed regulatory frameworks, regulatory impacts assessment report and other measures in order to improve the efficacy and quality of regulations;
  • Coordinating effectively, the implementation of ease compliance with regulatory requirements in order to lessen the regulatory burden on business
  • Ensuring regularly, the holding of stakeholder for a in order to provide a platform for discussion the business regulatory environment
  • Undertaking efficiently, the provision of BRRA Committee secretarial services in order to facilitate decision making
  • Overseeing periodically, the development, review and issuance of business regulatory standards and guidelines in order to ensure consistency in the formulation of business regulation
  • Regularly, monitoring and evaluating all programme in the Agency in order to facilitate implementation of appropriate interventions
  • Overseeing effectively, the management of human, financial and material resources in order to facilitate attainment of the Agency’s mission and
  • Overseeing timely, the development of individual and department work plans in order to monitor and evaluate performance
Qualifications
  • A full Grade Twelve(12) Form 5 School certificate with minimum of five (5) ‘O’ level credits including English language and Mathematics
  • Minimum age of thirty-five(35) years
  • Bachelor’s degree and Masters in Economics, Development studies , Business Administratioon,Demography or any other related field from a recognised and reputable University;
  • Eight(8) years relevant experience of which three(3) years should be at senior management
