Research Nurse REF No. RN/RV/02/02/21

Reports to the Senior Research Nurse. The incumbent conducts assigned study procedures and adhere to procedural and international guidelines for research conduct

Main Duties

• Maintain strict participant confidentiality and privacy at all times.
• Be accountable and responsible for study resources and supplies, such as data collection forms, participant files, study equipment, and facilities.
• Review and contribute to the development and revisions of study materials and tools.
• Maintain high-quality study documentation at all times as directed by Principal Investigators, Programme Manager, Senior Research Nurse, and Study Standard Operating Procedures
• Communicates with fellow staff members openly and honestly about study progress, issues, and/or problems that may arise
• Actively participates in problem-solving
• Works collegially as part of the study team
• Effectively collaborate with the community and district staff as necessary
• Provides high-quality service to participants by maintaining pleasant relationships at all times and attending to participants in a timely manner
• Be responsive to inquiries from participants’ partners and family members as required
• Completes all required study training, including routine Human Subject Protection and Good Clinical Practices training
• Acquire and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the study protocol.
• Assist with study translations as requested.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 Certificates
• Diploma in Nursing
• Experience in research activities
• Conversant in MS Office applications
• Member of General Nursing Council
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
