Resident Engineers Wanted: Rusangu University – Deadline 21 July 2017

Rusangu University, an Adventist Institution of higher learning, registered and recognized by the Higher Education Authority is looking for suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following vacant position:

Job Title: Resident Engineer

Location: Monze

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• Minimum of 3 years work experience

Duties:

The Resident Engineer oversees maintenance, repair, and security of Rusangu University’s mechanical, electrical, heating/air conditioning systems, and plumbing facilities.

In addition, the Resident Engineer carries out the following functions:

1. Maintain public health through proper mechanical systems
2. Maintain ventilation and filtering systems
3. Conduct asbestos evaluations
4. Perform safety inspections
5. Oversee utility construction
6. Monitor and maintain fire alarm systems
7. Assist in new buildings planning
8. Design assistance regarding mechanical systems
9. Perform waste management and treatments
10. Conduct treatment of water resources and ensure proper water reticulation
11. Manage energy systems
12. Be responsible for the repair and maintenance of University properties, buildings, and grounds
13. Ensure maintenance of machines and equipment
14. Be responsible for custodial services to the University
15. Provide water and electricity needs of the University
16. Conduct quarterly maintenance inspection of all buildings and equipment and perform necessary repairs
