Restaurant Manager: Cresta Golfview Hotel
Accountabilities:
- Ensure that service stock par levels are maintained to the required standard.
- Ensure that all out of stock items are communicated with the chef and the food and beverage manager.
- Co-ordinate effective daily pre-service briefings.
- Maintain high standards of food and service in compliance with all health and safety standards.
- Dealing with customers complaints and ensure effective resolution.
- To participant in any stock takes as required and maintain a clean service stock file.
- To ensure that fair discipline is effected and proper company disciplinary procedures are followed.
- To be up to date with the latest trends in Food and Beverage service.
- To ensure that all the staffs in the department are managed throughout their shift and provide them with feedback.
- To ensure that all the staff in the department are always correctly and smartly dressed, that they offer professional and courteous service to customers.
- To carry out and ensure that regular on-the-job trainings are done to the required and agreed standards and keep records.
- Effectively manage the floats and preparing cash drawers and ensuring that there is change at all time.
- To conduct performance appraisals, bi-annual (twice/year), identify areas for development and training needs, and ensuring that training are implemented.
- Ensure that the bar shift stock takes are done and variance reported to Food & Beverage Manager.
- Coordinates service needs to Food and Beverage manager ensuring that pre-planning is done.
Qualifications:
- Must have a Diploma or higher in food production/ Hotel Management and catering
- Must have a minimum of three years experience working in a 3-5 star busy hotel
- Must demonstrate professional and ethical behavior at all times
- Must be of a pleasant disposition, honest, trustworthy, creative, higher achiever, innovative to own work plans and see them through to completion
- Must be computer literate
- Must have good communications skills
- Must have a passion to work in the hospitality industry
