Job Title: Restaurant Manager

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all consumables and non-consumables for the restaurant, room service, and bar are ordered correctly and stocked properly in liason with neccesary heads of Depts
  • Ensure the prompt and efficient service of all meals, snacks, functions and beverages to the required standards
  • Ensure that restaurants and restaurant toilets are clean and well maintained, that table appointments, including flower arrangements are impeccable
  • Ensure that waiters are always correctly and smartly dressed, that they offer professional and courteous service to their customers

  • Ensure that room service orders are executed promptly and that they comply with the required standards
  • Ensure that company and statutory hygiene standards are maintained in all areas

  • Be fully conversant with all statutory requirements regarding food and beverage operation that all licenses, including special licences, are applied for and that the conditions affecting the issues of a liquor licence are not jeopardised
  • Ensure that an effective table reservation system is in operation
  • Maintain high profile with customers and staff
  • Hold regular staff meetings and also attend management meetings as required

Qualifications

  • 10 years experience
  •  Diploma in Hotel management or equivalent
  • Knowledge of MS office and relevant software
  • Knowledge of hospitality
  • Ability to speak well
  • Polite and composed disposition
