Retail Banking Manager In Zimbabwe
Overall purpose of the job
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Retail Banking Manager will be responsible for the oversight retail business line, branch network and all initiatives to ensure successful service delivery and strategy fulfillment of the Institution.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Participates in policy formulation;
- Maintains overall responsibility for all aspects of utilizing the institution’s retail network, including the implementation of strategies and establishment of goals, to achieve growth, profit, operational efficiency and customer service objectives;
- Provides overall direction, guidance, and support to retail branch managers and staff;
- Collaborates as a member of the leadership team on bank-wide strategic planning initiatives and corporate direction;
- Collaborates with other bank leaders and the bank’s strategic partners in developing, implementing, and marketing new products and in making product and marketing strategy modifications;
- Analyzes all levels of branch activity and provides related information/reports to the management team and the Board.
- Develops and monitors Retail Division budget;
- Develops and maintains a sound human resources plan for the department;
- Establishes policies to ensure adequate management development and to provide for capable management succession for those functions/business units falling under his/her responsibility;
- Ensures that the department is appropriately staffed with the right skills;
Qualifications and Experience
- Commercial Degree
- A post graduate qualification will be an added advantage.
- Related professional qualification.
- A minimum of 10 years similar work experience, 6 years of which should. have.been at a senior managerial level preferably in the Banking and Financial services sector.
