SAFE Provincial Coordinator (1):
Job Summary:
Provincial Coordinator will work in consultation with the SAFE Community Mobilisation Specialist to supervise the districts and oversee all community activities in their respective provinces. He/she will lead the implementation of program activities, support the development and dissemination of innovative prevention, care and treatment programs, identify strategies for mobilizing and engaging communities in HIV prevention, HCTT, FP and nutrition programs, and provide technical expertise in HIV prevention, treatment and care and capacity development, throughout the province. This position will report to the SAFE Community Mobilization Specialist.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide support and coaching to everyone (e.g., District Office, Champions, and Champion Mentors) involved in SAFE’s community mobilization work.
- Strengthen the PMO and DMO capacity to supervise and coordinate and manage activities
- Provide day-to-day leadership, supervision and overall management of the provincial office as well as all SAFE project activities at the provincial level.
- Engage local partners (government stakeholders, CBOs, NGOs, USAID IPs) at provincial and district level to roll out new and fortify existing HIV prevention, HCTT, FP and Nutrition interventions in the province.
- Consolidate results from baseline assessment from the districts and develop action plans, specific to the province
- Organize, coordinate, and facilitate trainings, workshops and meetings to address technical assistance and needs.
Skills & Requirements:
- Bachelor of Arts degree- Social Sciences/medicine/nursing or Equivalent
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Health related programs including HIV/AIDS and TB prevention and care programs
- Knowledge of and experience in working with private, national and/or local partners and other government agencies
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with the key stakeholders including Government and other implementing agencies
- Proven ability to write reports, program/project documents, conduct presentations and able to meet deadlines.
- Fluent in English, both written and oral.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Powerpoint, Internet etc;
- Cultural sensitivity.
