Scales and Weighbridge Technician

Reporting lines
The position shall functionally report to the Head of IT Operations

Responsibilities
The main duties and responsibilities of the role shall be to:

  • Repair, calibrate and maintain the organisations scales and weighbridges on site.
  • Ensure and monitor me correct operation of the scales and weighbridges

Qualifications and experience
Candidates wishing to be considered for the position must possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • Full Grade 12 School Certificate
  • Certificate/Diploma in Industrial Instrumentation or IT
  • Must be certified the Weights and Measures Department
  • Computer literate is a must
  • At least two years experience calibrating and maintaining scales and weighbridge
  • Must be willing to work long hours and ready to attend to emergencies after working hours when called upon
