School Bursar Job Vacancy: PEAS Zambia

All PEAS schools share a set of values and principles that help promote our mission ‘to unlock the potential of Africa by delivering equal access to affordable, quality secondary education’.  The role of school bursar is central to achieving this mission by ensuring schools are run to be self-sufficient and sustainable.

The Bursar will report directly to the PEAS Finance Administration Officer but will work in collaboration with the school Director of Education and the school’s leadership team and staff.

The bursar will be responsible for collecting and accounting for school fees, for overseeing the day to day petty cash expenditure and accounting and for producing school financial documentation and reports to share with the PEAS Finance Administration officer and Director of Education on a regular basis as well as present to staff and parents.

The Bursar will also assist the Finance Administration officer in the preparation of financial documents for PEAS audits and external audits. The bursar’s reports will clearly separate school income and expenditure from Income Generation Activity expenditure.

We are looking for candidates who live in Ndola and who can work with children.
