Security Officers – 350 urgently needed  

Job Summary:

The general duties and responsibilities of the Security Officer include providing security services or guarding services to a variety of clients. These duty posts include financial institutions, mining firms, religious institutions, retail sites, government agencies and any other fixed or temporary location as needed or required.

Essential duties

• Protect property and lives
• Monitor entrance of client property
• Identify visitors and ask for appropriate documentation
• Guard against theft and maintain security and Call for aid if necessary
• Respond to alarms and calls of distress
• Complete accurate incident reports
• Answer telephone calls, take messages, answer questions, provide information
• Prevent the passage of prohibited vehicles into restricted areas
• Prevent access to unauthorized persons
• Inspect windows and doors to ensure locks are in place and working Complete all required security logs
• Communicate effectively with client management, employees and visitors

Qualifications

• Either  possess grade 12 or minimum of grade 9 certificate
• Basic Security Officer training or must be willing to undergoing training for two weeks.

Mandatory requirements

• Police Clearance (Fingerprints)-  a must
• Medical health Clearance/certificate of physical fitness
• 2 working Sureties  with Photo of NRC and their  telephone numbers
• Reference letter from former employer(s)
• 4 X passport Size Photos
• Application Letter (Handwritten)
• Educational certificates- grade 12 or 9 certificate
• Copy of national registration Card –NRC
