The IT Officer will provide continuous ICT services to the whole organization and ensure an adequate and up-to-date service for all users with the least possible interruptions through the implementation of the regular system and hardware maintenance including required system upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure a continuous uptime of the internal network of the organization
• Hardware management and maintenance to achieve the best possible availability and conducting of required upgrades to match conducted software upgrades
• Management of all servers to ensure constant availability of the servers (file and mailing system) including conducting required software or technical upgrades (memory, and HD capacity) well in time before potential problems could occur
• Management of effective Firewall, Anti-Virus, and Spam System to protect Hardware, Software and all end users from disrupting system problems through regular update of the required protection system
• Setup, implement and develop an effective backup system for all data
• Maintenance and development of Internet access for all users proving highest possible uptime, appropriate down and upload speed for different loads during daytime balanced with affordable costs
• Conduct required assessment of hardware and software to ensure availability all the time
• Development of proposal for renewal of any hardware or software to ensure up to date infrastructure for network and end-user components
• Documentation of all systems and procedures (network, hardware, maintenance, procurement, etc.)
• Implementation of the email /Library Management/Maintenance/HR management of Admin system
• Continuous review of all ICT services incl. VPN, upgrading of Internet link, and central systems (hardware and software)
• Optimise the Wi-Fi coverage of the organization network
• Revamp website with special services and systems
• Any other duties as assigned by ICT Manager

Skills/Attributes

• Proven network management, e.g. security, data back-up, and recovery, routing and switching, etc
• Windows Server Management (up to latest version), and Microsoft Exchange Server
• Up-to-date skills in server configuration, including virtual server configurations in Hyper-V and VMware (ESXi, in particular)
• Data management and structuring of different user groups (profiles and access management
• Proven leadership skills
• Ability to work in a Multicultural Environment

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related
• Two (2) years experience
• Microsoft Certification MSCA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) or MSCE (Microsoft Certified
• Systems Engineer) or CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Administrator)
• Proven experience with Pastel and Dove Payroll system
• Knowledge of setup and management of database systems (e.g. reporting systems, VLMs, Ed-Admin) would be an added advantage
