SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting in the budgetary process
  • Preparations of financial statements and reports on a periodic basis
  • Providing leadership to the Finance and Operations team
  • Report financial results to the Board of Directors
  • Maintenance of records of investment activities
  • Assisting in the preparation of Quarterly and Yearly Financial Statements
  • Payroll Management
  • Debtor / Creditor Management
  • Carrying out  day to day transactional accounting
  • Submission of  ZRA returns and payments electronically
  • Stock Management System
  • Assist in ensuring compliance to relevant regulations and laws affecting the organization
  • Ensure efficient use and management of IT systems
  •  Preparation and management of budgets.
  • Assist in the development of performance measures that support the company’s strategic direction.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • ACCA/CIMA and be registered with the ZICA
  • Degree in Accounting/Finance or any relevant degree
  • Understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards
  • Media and Advertising experience will be an added advantage
  • At least 3 – 4 years’ work experience in a financial services institution of which at least a minimum of 2 years should be in a supervisory role

  • Superior attention to detail
  • Highly proven ethical conduct and free from criminal record
  • Highly computer literate and presentation skills
  • Be conversant with accounting packages
