Job Description

One of our clients, a Multinational company, is currently looking for a Senior HR professional to join one their offices in Africa.

Based in Lusaka, Zambia, you will be acting as strong HR Services Lead as well as HRBP.

Role

Human Resources Manager provides strong support on HR services activities and processes in alignment with Human Ressources strategy

Implement continuous improvement initiatives and local HR initiatives

Responsibilities

Human Resources Services

  • Lead and take responsibility for managing the HR Services operational support in Zambia
  • Coordinate activities delivered in-house and ensure accuracy and delivery of data, information and rules provided to external providers
  • Conduct analytics for the different processes and coordinate reports requests
  • Report on quality of service and propose solutions for improvement ensuring legal compliance of implementation
  • Deal with local Authorities for HR Services relating issues and audits
  • Actively support on integration and transformation project to assure smooth transition and implementation

Human Resources Partner

  • Partner with Leadership Team to design and deliver people Policies, practices and processes
  • Develop and establish robust people management disciplines including recruitment, talent management, people development, performance management
  • Develop and establish a solid compensation and benefit structure to attract and engage employees, assuring internal equity and market competitiveness
  • Ensure that the organizational capabilities are expanded implementing training and development actions to drive the achievement of business goals contribute to territory and/or Regional consultation processes as required
  • Be accountable, as appropriate, for HR compliance in line with local regulations and standards and to manage business risk arising from employment liability
  • Keep up to date with the latest developments in HR practice and introduce new approaches as appropriate

Experience required

  • University degree (Human Resources, Labor law or other HR related subjects) or equivalent professional experience
  • Broad and general HR professional knowledge
  • Understanding of Zambian labor law
  • Good understanding of HR processes and procedures
  • 7-10 years of experience in Human Resources, in a multinational company or complex structure organization
