Our client, the Lusaka South Multi Facility Economic Zone Limited (LS MFEZ) is a subsidiary of the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC). LS-MFEZ Ltd was incorporated on 25th June 2012 with a mandate to manage, operate and develop the LS-MFEZ. The main purpose of establishing the LS MFEZ is to promote manufacturing activities, to be supported by commercial and residential facilities. The line Ministry for LS-MFEZ Ltd is Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry. LS-MFEZ Ltd is headed by the Managing Director who is supported by managers in various divisions.
Responsibilities
- To effectively undertake internal audit activities in order to ensure adherence to financial and operational controls
- Coordinates and supervises the physical planning, operation and maintenance of physical infrastructure and infrastructure support services as per the Master Plan of the LS-MFEZ in order provide conducive operating environment
- Establishes the essential security and maintenance contracts and infrastructure for the Zone as per Master Plan
Coordinates the implementation of environmental and social monitoring and management functions as per the Master Plan of the LS-MFEZ - Ensures the operation and maintenance of common user facilities (exhibition or conference facilities, library and parks)
- Provides progress reports to the Technical and Projects Committee of the Board
- Coordinates and supervises survey and land management services and ensures that Offer Letters for approval are issued timely
- Coordinates the implementation of technical policies and programmes of the LS-MFEZ
- Undertakes timely pre and post audits in order to assess the effectiveness of the internal controls
- Prepares timely audit reports in order to facilitate decision making
- Coordinates the implementation of technical policies and programmes of the LS-MFEZ
- Reports directly to Audit Committee of the Board in liaison with the Managing Director
Qualifications
- Full Grade 12 School Certificate
- Bachelor of Accountant, ACCA, CIMA
- Relevant working experience Five years in a reputable organization
- Member of ZICA
- Certification by Institute of Internal Auditors
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
- High level of analytical ability
- Good communication skills both written and oral
- Good working knowledge of computers
- Confidentiality
