The Mission of Lusaka Water Supply and Sanitation Company Limited is to provide quality water and sanitation services to customers in Lusaka Province using commercially and environmentally sustainable strategies. SENIOR NETWORKS ADMINISTRATOR

REPORTS TO: Manager – Information Communication and Technology

LOCATION: Lusaka

Job purpose

To design, implement, test and carry out maintenance of software systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designs and develops software systems as directed by the project budget and methodology.
• Tests newly developed programs to ensure that logic and syntax are correct and that program results are accurate.
• Documents all system codes and logic on the projects assigned and responsible for system implementation.
• Ensures that all developed software are consistently upgraded to address new challenges.
• Regularly releases upgrades for available systems to address technology changes and gaps and carries out all assignments as given by supervisors.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• School Certificate
• Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science/ ICT or equivalent.
• Certifications in CISA, CISSP will be an added advantage.
• Four years of working experience in Software development

OTHER ATTRIBUTES FOR THIS POSITION

• Must have experience, knowledge and ability to build applications based on fourth generation programming languages.
• Must have experience, knowledge and ability to build mobile applications based on Android, iOS and Windows Platforms.
• Must have experience and knowledge of fourth generation languages.
• Must be able to produce documentation, reports and design plans.
• Must be enthusiastic and goal-oriented, with the ability to work in teams.
• Must be efficient, dependable and professional.
• Must demonstrate sound analytical thinking and be able to meet project deadlines.
• Must have demonstrable skills in software integration services and the zeal to continue to learn about industry trends and developments.
• Must be able to develop different application programming interface known as API so as to support different integration functionalities.
• Must ensure usability, robustness, and general reliability of developed application programs.
• Must have experience and knowledge in Microsoft Visual Studio.net framework, C Sharp (C#), ASP.Net, Entity framework, PHP, MS SQL server.
