The Zambia Law Development Commission (ZLDC) is a statutory body established under the Zambia Development Commission Act No. 11 of 1996, chapter 32 of the laws of Zambia. The Commission is inviting applications from suitably qualified Zambians.

JOB LOCATION
Lusaka

Job Title: Senior Research Officer
Main Duties

  • Formulate project proposals as directed by the Deputy Director
  • Undertake legal research and law reform assignments
  • Analyze data collected from the field
  • Prepare project budgets
  • Conduct literature review on research topics
  • Prepare reports on researched projects
  • Carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Deputy Director

Qualifications

  • Form V/Grade 12 school certificate
  • Bachelor of Laws Degree/Bachelors of Arts degree/Degree in Mass communication
  • Five years experience at senior level in research work or
  • M/Masters degree with two years post qualification experience in research work
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be a team player
  • Must be computer literate
