Our client, a Mineral Equipment Technology Innovation company is looking to hire an Service Account Manager – Central Africa Region.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively participate in customer engagement efforts and ensure that the company is a Proactive Partner.
- Actively work with customers in order to improve their concentrator performance and to maximize on revenue potential.
- Ascertain what potential may exist and work with the regional team to capitalize on the potential.
- Deliver equipment, spares and service in a timely fashion.
- Ensure customer service needs and expectations are being met ( and, where possible, exceeded).
- Ensure the sustainability of the service business through accuracy in fiscal and administrative responsibilities.
- Focus on continuous improvement and advise the Regional General Manager of inefficiencies as they are encountered, working toward implementing improvements of service and site maintenance systems that best-serve company customer–focused business.
- Form relationships with potential customers by generating rapport and understanding, interpret and respond clearly to customers.
- Maintain and manage service agreements and also follow up regularly and meet face-to-face with customers.
- Maintain customers data, knowledge, and intelligence.
- Maintain functional and productive working relationships with company staff at all levels.
- Participate proactively in the company’s Lean philosophy strategic planning and ISO quality systems framework.
- Progress the customer to have an established engagement with the company.
- Provide hands-on leadership in sales and service processes, including the development and implementation of such processes.
- Provide regular, rapid responses to customer needs and complete designated calls and routes.
- Seek out and develop positive relationships with customers, as well as to follow through with proposals or quotes as appropriate.
- Work with the customer and the company’s customer support team in order to ensure the delivery of consistent, world-class service and maintenance through quality asset management.
- This role requires the job holder to travel between 5 and 6 weeks per quarter.
Desired Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
- Minimum qualification of a degree in Business / Commerce, Engineering, Marketing or other relevant discipline.
- Possession of a valid “B” Class Driver’s License.
- Ability to speak English and French is an added advantage.
- Exceptional ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as to handle unstructured tasks and range of situations in a deadline-driven environment.
- Tech Savvy and well-developed Microsoft Office skills, primarily in the use of Ms. Excel for pricing, sales data analysis and word processing.
- At least 3 years of business development and after-sales support, preferably in a mining or export related field.
- Well-developed negotiation and persuasion skills.
- A desire to delight customers going above and beyond the call of duty and a drive to see sales through to completion.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to determine priorities, meet deadlines and take follow-up action until finalization.
