Job Description

Reporting to: International Sales Executive-Moving Services

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Scheduling, controlling, and receiving of household effects from around the world;
  • Liaising with both customer and partners at all levels with regards to shipments, maintain good and
    effective communication,
  • keeping all parties informed of progress, delays, or any difficulties;
  • Preparation of documents for customers, Customs officials, transporters, shipping lines and
    overseas partners and submission of documents to relevant systems/parties;
  • Liaising with Shipping lines with regards to shipments arrival and departure dates and times;
  • Meeting daily deadlines in respect to stack dates, departure and arrival of vessels, customs
    clearance, transport to and from ports and deliveries;
  • Continuous follow-up in all outstanding monies ensuring payments are received;
  • Conducting follow-up and progress calls with customers as and when required;
  • Ensure that all documents received are assessed correctly leading to the exports and importations
    of the shipment;
  • Preparing files for invoicing;
  • Reconciliation of files, ensuring that creditors invoices are processed correctly;
  • Calculating currency fluctuation for recovery of currency shortfall prior to delivery of shipment;
  • Monitoring the shipments, identifying potential problems and timeously, bring such information to
    the attention of the customer, manager and or partner where necessary;
  • Proving regular updates to all parties involved;
  • Performing general administration duties, which will include filing and any other administrative
    duties as directed by your Manager.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Full grade 12 certificate
  • Diploma in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing or any other equivalent qualification.
  • Certification in Logistics Management, Insurance or International Trade is an added advantage.
  • Computer literate – MS Word / Excel / Outlook;
  • A basic understanding of furniture removal processes;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of the industry.
  • Creative thinking skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Experience working with electronic data.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work long hours
  • Assertive; Reliable, Good administrative skills; self-starter
  • Below 30 years of age
