BlueCode Systems is a local Zambian software services organization that is focused on designing and building locally sustainable software applications with a bias towards the health sector.

We are looking to fill the position of Software developer, whose main tasks will be translating business requirements into high-quality software covered with unit tests. The person must be comfortable writing software in Python|Golang|Java and Javascript & HTML.

The right person for this role would be someone who enjoys burning the midnight oil to fix that one bug preventing their build from working, they enjoy reading about Artificial Intelligence, hacking on ReactJS/Angular and are itching for a chance to implement solutions using such stacks. They are also not shy about consulting StackOverflow or IRC.

Requirements

While a degree will be an added advantage, we are more interested in proven ability to write working software. We are very interested in seeing applicant’s sample of previously written code on  GitHub/Bitbucket and/or work samples that can be sent.

The candidate should be comfortable working with version control such as Git.

The interview process will include a 2-hour programming task that will be shared with qualifying candidates.

BlueCode is currently hiring for (1) Full-Time developer role and (1) 6 months paid developer internship with the same qualifications stated above. The best candidate will be offered the full-time role, while the next best candidate will be offered the paid internship.
