PRODUCTION & WAREHOUSE MANAGER

Reporting to GM – Finance & Managing Director

Responsibilities

• Managing warehouse
• Managing inventory, receiving & dispatch
• Managing transport & distribution
• Responsible for efficient delivery to customers
• In charge of Cut & bend processes, issue quotes on the same
• Account for tonnage in & out of factory with percentage of scrap per job
• Responsible for quality control & minimising scrap
• Check quality & quantity of goods received and verify documentation
• Prepare GRV from the computer system for all goods received
• Report any variances (properly documented in sequential report) of goods received
• Maintaining machines, attending to electrical & mechanical faults
• In charge of security, internal & external
• Supervision of warehouse staff including drivers, operators & general workers
• Any other duties as may be assigned

 

Qualifications & skills

• Diploma in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering or better
• Certificates in logistics & distribution added advantage but not prerequisite
• Knowledge of;
  • Cut & bend machines
  • Stemma machines
  • Roller machines
• Ability to work under pressure & meet deadlines
• Excellent computer skills with knowledge of;
  • Pastel SAGE, Excel, Word & Outlook
• Excellent communication & mathematical skills
• Grade 12 school certificate
