In its quest to improve service delivery, the Southern Water and Sewerage Company Limited (SWSC), seeks to fill the following vacant positions with good team players, dynamic, innovative, self-motivated and suitably qualified and experienced Zambians.

INTERNAL AUDIT MANAGER

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be based at the Head Office and shall report to the Managing Director and shall, among others, be responsible for:-

  • Development and managing of processes to identify, mitigate and evaluate risk areas in conjunction with Management, for each business unit within the Company
  • Establishing, in conjunction with Management and in line with risk profiles developed for each business unit, an Internal Plan in accordance with the Company policies
  • Examining various operating systems and procedures in the Company’s Divisions/ Departments/Sections to determine the adequacy of Internal controls/ checks, consistency and recommend appropriate measures
  • Undertaking audit activities as per audit plan or as requested by management and submit the report timely

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of the control environment and identify control gaps and recommend measures for improvement.
  • Meeting with the Audit Committee, Periodically, to review reports as per requirement.
  • Identifying the risk, formulate risk management plan and ensure compliance to the plan.
  • Cany out other related duties as assigned by the Managing Director or Audit and Risk Committee.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Full grade 12 School Certificate
  • Degree in Accountancy/Finance
  • Full ACCA, ZICA or CIMA with at least 5 years hands-on experience in auditing
  • Member of ZICA
  • Should be computer literate
  • At least 25 – 45 years of age
