The Civil Service Commission invites applications from suitably qualified serving officers to fill vacant positions in the Ministry of National Guidance and Religious Affairs.

Responsibilities

  • To coordinate the propagation, dissemination, interpretation and implementation of national values, ethics, and principles in order to achieve and sustain national development

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Permanent Secretary and shall be responsible for

  • Coordinating effectively, the promotion of national unity, good morals, social justice and good within a Christian framework in order to sustain ethical national development
  • Co-ordinating periodically, the planning and implementation of information, education and communication programs on the rights and obligations of citizen in order to facilitate their effective participation in national governance
  • Co-ordinating periodically, the planning and implementation of research activities on matters relating to national guidance in order to promote adoption of international best practice

Qualifications

  • Thirty (30) years and above
  • Grade Twelve (12)/Form 5 School Certificate with a minimum of five (5) ‘O’ Level Credits including English Language and Mathematics
  • A Masters of Arts in Social Sciences or any related discipline
  • Four years relevant work experience at senior management level
