A health food manufacturing company has an opening for the below position based in Lilayi, Lusaka.

Job Title: supervisory kitchen assistant/chef

Job Duties & Responsibility are, but not limited to, below;

• Maintain the kitchen
  • Ensure all kitchen utensils and appliances are clean
  • Ensure work areas are sanitized
  • Keep the kitchen stocked and in working order
  • Maintain food production records, notify supervisors when supplies are low, unpack deliveries, restock work areas.
• Ingredient and food portioning
• Prepare & cook ingredients
  • Following the chef’s orders and recipes
• Pack and prepare deliveries
• Store & dispense of food and waste in a specified way

Requirement:

FEMALE, aged 27 & above
Grade 12 certificate
Fluent in English
Experience in the catering industry is a must
Must be able to maintain stocksheets and use their initiative
Fast thinker/learner
Knowledge of supervising others
Must live within Lilayi
