IT Systems Management Specialist Job Vacancy – Job Deadline 9 November

Responsibilities

  • The incumbent serves as the Embassy’s Systems supervisor responsible for the Embassy’s telephone
  • Switchboard, radio program, Open Net network, dedicated internet network (DIN) computer operations
  • Audio-visual (AV) systems, digital video conferencing (DVC) systems, mobile devices, and all other data processing systems and devices
  • She or he ensures that highest levels of customer service are maintained
  • The incumbent ensures that work requests are assigned and closed as quickly as possible
  • Monitors data, looking for trends in customer satisfaction scores and taking corrective action

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology, Information
  • Science, Computer Engineering, or other Information Computer Technology area of study is required
  • Seven years of progressively responsible experience in the IT field
  • Seven years of direct hands- on experience in Network administration in a multi-server and multi-site environment to include programming network switches
  • Writing logon scripts, programming applications, maintaining SQL databases, managing MS Exchange 2010 or newer, IIS
  • Designing and implementing SharePoint sites, managing DHCP scopes, drafting network diagrams and documentation, design and implementing IT projects is required
  • Experience must include two years of direct supervisory responsibilities to include subordinate evaluations, counselling and development
  • Level IV (Fluent) written and spoken English is required. (This will be tested.)
  • Advanced IT Hardware and Software skills are required
  • Specifically in the areas of SQL, Windows Server 2010, Exchange 2010, SharePoint 2010, Cisco Switches and routers and creating Networking diagrams
  • Maintaining operational capability and readiness of system’s network
  • Good technical skills to trouble-shoot, diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems to maximize system’s capability
  • Good interpersonal skills to maintain two-way communications and promote computer and automation services
  • Must have thorough knowledge of network design practices, Microsoft
  • Server configuration, current Information Communications Technology standards, and the management and structure of the local service providers.
