Job Title: Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Auditor
The incumbent will be responsible to the Audit Manager- ICT.
Job function

This role will perform ICT focused audit reviews on business applications and supporting processes, and information security reviews with a view to improving controls, increasing efficiency and minimizing risk.

Major job activities

  • Assist in the development and execution of a risk based IT audit plan
  • Perform targeted fieldwork to test internal controls across the company’s applications, infrastructure, and databases, as well as key business processes
  • Perform IT policy compliance, business continuity, system implementation, security incident, and other recurring IT audits;
  • Assist in the communication of findings and recommendations to all levels of departmental and operating unit management verbally and through concisely written reports under the direction of the Audit Manager
  • Identify and develop recommendations to provide for productivity savings and/or enhance operational efficiencies;
  • Working collaboratively with audit team members to support the delivery of integrated internal audit reviews.
  • Assist with other special projects and various administration tasks as they may arise;

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Management (Computer Science) and CISCO Certification.
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation is an added advantage.
  • 2 to 4 years of information system audit experience
  • Proficiency in IDEA and TeamMate audit software.

Competencies

  • Strong technical skills (computer, networks, security and accounting)
  • A firm understanding of internal auditing standards (IIA, ISACA)
