Job Description

The Zambia Institute of Mass Communications (ZAMCOM) was established under the ZAMCOM Act of Parliament of 1996 to provide Communications and Media training and production services. ZAMCOM has recently been undergoing a corporate renewal and is currently implementing a new strategic plan aiming at positioning the organization to become financially viable and independent.

As part of its transformation process, ZAMCOM is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill in the following position;

TRAINING & ACADEMIC MANAGER

Reporting to the Executive Director

Job purpose

The Training and Academic Manager’s overall responsibility will be to provide administrative leadership for all academic matters, oversee the development of new programmes and approval, assure programme quality, educational methods and delivery, accreditations, assessment and evaluation of students and Lecturers. The incumbent will also be responsible for faculty development and policy development and implementation.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

Full grade twelve (12) Certificate
Degree in Mass Communication, Education, Social Sciences or any other related.
Master’s Degree shall be an added advantage.
Teaching Methodology qualification.
Three (03) years relevant post-graduate experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Computer Literate.
