Training Manager: CONNECT Zimbabwe
CONNECT (Z.I.S.T) is a Zimbabwean welfare organisation (registration no. 7/85) staffed by professional counsellors and trainers. It offers counselling, training, research and consultancy services to all sectors of the community on a wide range of presenting problems. CONNECT is the leading Zimbabwean training organisation in family therapy and systemic counselling, offering long term “distance education” courses for grassroots workers as well as more intensive training in family therapy for those wishing to specialize in the field. Short courses are also available on specific training needs, according to demand.
Applications are invited to fill the vacant position of Training Manager with CONNECT on a two year contract.
Key duties & responsibilities
Writes funding proposals; Develops the department annual plan; Prepares and monitors the department budgets; Monitors and supports department staff; Implements performance measurement systems; Produces and disseminates technical materials for the institutions various training programmes; Markets the organization’s training activities
Person specification
Social Science Degree e.g. Psychology, Social Work, Education, etc; Diploma in Systemic Family Therapy or its equivalent; Ability to manage and motivate subordinates; Sound marketing and communication skills; Sound report writing and proposal writing skills; Computer literacy; Ability to liaise with people from diverse cultural backgrounds; High degree of maturity; 5 years working experience, 3 of which should be at managerial level
