BME Zambia Ltd is looking for a competent, passionate and results-driven professional to fill the following role:

Underground Mechanical Specialist – Zambia/Namibia/DRC

Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Kev Performance Areas

  • Managing on-site breakdowns, callouts, repairs, modifications and carrying out routine equipment audits
  • Providing technical support services and advice to operations
  • Managing stock and inventory as well as logistics
  • Managing the SHEQ function
  • Managing costs

Requirements:

  • Full grade 12 certificate or it’s equivalent
  • Minimum of Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in the electrical field is an added advantage
  • Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (BIZ)
  • Understanding and practical experience in pneumatics, hydraulics and pumps
  • Minimum of 5 years post qualifying experience in the hydraulics and mechanical field
  • Computer literacy
  • Supervisory experience in managing a production crew
  • SADC Driver’s license Class C
