Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Country Director, the Communications Analyst implements the UNDP corporate communications strategy at the country level, as well as provides inputs to the design, management and implementation of the Country Office communications and publication strategies which are geared to communicate support to the national development agenda, promote public and media outreach and UNDP engagement on development results.  Given the above context, UNDP is seeking to recruit a Communications Analyst will work in partnership with the Programme and Operations teams, communications staff of other UN Agencies, UNDP HQs staff (Communications Office) as well as Government officials, international and local media, subject matter experts, multi-lateral and bi-lateral donors and civil society ensuring successful implementation of the UNDP communication strategy.

Minimum Qualifications

A Master’s degree in media relations, journalism, communication for development, or related social science field.  Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience at the national or international level in public relations, communications or advocacy. Previous experience with a multilateral or international organization is helpful, but not mandatory. Experience in the usage of office software packages, good knowledge and experience in handling of web-based management systems.  Fluency in English.
