We are building a talent pool of candidates to be considered for future positions with UNICEF Zimbabwe within our Supply and Logistics Unit. Successful candidates will be placed in a pool that will be valid for 2 years. However two positions are currently vacant as indicated against the position.

Logistics Assistant at GS6 Level

Purpose of the Job:

Under the direct supervision of the Logistics Officer, assist the management of UNICEF Distribution Center and Logistics operations. Responsible for monitoring of in/out supplies, organize and supervise kit packing, consolidation of supplies for in country distribution. Responsible for monitoring all shipment documents, drafting customs clearance documentation, initiate clearance process, as well as liaising with responsible section for offshore shipments consigned directly to partner are cleared on a timely manner.

Requirements

Qualifications and Competencies:

Bachelor Degree is required. Certificate in warehouse/Inventory management is desirable.
At least six years of professional work experience in warehousing/logistics management at national level, with an NGO or another UN Agency is desirable.
