Job Title: Risk and Compliance officer (XI)
Responsibilities
To execute various regular reviews across designated branch operations and any other department of (VFZ)
Work with the branch managers to ensure that documented policies and procedures are followed
Participate in the annual policy and procedure review process within (VFZ) to ensure that policies are up- to-date and relevant in the fast changing business environment
Assist branches to develop tactical and strategic plans to clear items raised by regulators, internal audits and other assurance reports
Monitor implementation of these plans and assist with relevant technical advice as required
Work with designated branches to assess risks associated with their unique business environment and operational processes, and assist in the development of mitigating activities
Investigate and analyze all instances of fraud in the branches, producing a detailed report and escalate to the Risk and Compliance Manager
Ensure action plans are put in place by branches for all gaps identified by compliance and control reviews and follow up with branch managers to ensure action plans are implementedQualifications
A degree in Finance, Accounts, Business Administration, or any other related discipline from a recognized university or institution
Three years experience in risk management gained from financial institution
Demonstrated ability to identify operational risks and analyze what actions are necessary to mitigate those risks
Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Prove ability to achieve consensus amongst multiple parties
Demonstrate experience of managing high pressure and high visibility operational problems specifically internal and external fraud and significant audit issues
Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and maintain compliance and control tests and monitoring programs
Demonstrated willingness to get involved in detailed resolutions of problems, including activities outside official job description
