In order to support our growth aspirations, we seek to recruit a qualified candidate who is self-motivated and results-oriented to fill the following position:

MARKETING AND  CUSTOMER CARE MANAGER

Reporting to: Chief Operations Officer

Location: Head Office–Lusaka

The holder will implement VisionFundZambia (VFZ) Marketing Strategy. She/he will ensure that VFZ brand remains visible and relevant to customers and that all initiatives support the brand promise by aggressively marketing VFZ products and services to prospective customers and other stakeholders to the market including employees, corporate management, special interest groups and the media. The position holder will also be the communications focal point for VFZ and will be the key media liaison person as directed by the Chief Executive Officer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement VFZ’s marketing strategy and annual marketing plan;
  • Implement promotional activities aimed at enhancing VFZ’s competitiveness in the market place and subsequently growing its market share;
  • Develop marketing and communications tools and media channels to reach a targeted audience;
  • Coordinate the development of VFZ’s marketing and PR materials in line with the approved brand strategy and ensure their effective distribution;
  • Act as counsel and gatekeeper to maintain a consistent VFZ brand and brand messaging, brand outlook and feel;
  • Production of the monthly internal newsletter to update staff on the latest developments in the company;
  • Gathering of client stories to demonstrate VFZ’s impact on the clients, their families and the community at large.
  • Ensure that VFZ’s products and services continuously respond to market needs and customers preferences;
  • Handle and resolve all customer complains
  • Conduct a customer satisfaction survey and develop an action plan to resolve issues arising from the survey

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Business Administration or related field;
  2. At least 2 years of management experience in a similar position where she/he provided strategic direction preferable in a financial service sector;
  3. Experience in marketing, communication, journalism, publishing, PR, preferably in a corporate environment
  4. Demonstrable experience dealing with different media platforms (newspapers, radio, and TV);
  5. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing;
  6. Proven ability to skillfully develop and manage relationships with a diverse audience;
