The Workers’ Compensation Fund Control Board (WCFCB) is a social security scheme responsible for compensating workers in respect of accidents suffered and diseases contracted during the course of employment in accordance with the provisions of the Workers’ Compensation Act No. 10 of 1999 of the Laws of Zambia.
The Workers’ Compensation Fund Control Board invites applications from suitably qualified Zambian citizens to be engaged in the following positions.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY – SECURITY OFFICER
Reporting to the Head – ICT, the job holder will be responsible for supporting the Board’s business through the provision of timely, cost effective, efficient and professional Information Technology Security and Quality Assurance services for the purposes of achieving corporate goals.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To create and institute measures in order to safeguard sensitive information within the Board’s network;
- To co-ordinate the development of the Board’s IT Security Policies, Standards and Procedures;
- To review systems in order to identify potential security weakness, recommend improvements and amend vulnerabilities, implement changes and document upgrades; and
- To ensure that the Board complies with statutory and regulatory requirements regarding information access, security and privacy.
- Ensures that the quality of IT services is consistent with the standards according to the relevant adopted IT frameworks and guidelines.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
- Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate.
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- At least three (3) years work experience in Information Technology Security.
