The Workers’ Compensation Fund Control Board (WCFCB) is a social security scheme responsible for compensating workers in respect of accidents suffered and diseases contracted during the course of
employment in accordance with the provisions of the Workers’ Compensation Act No. 10 of 1999 of the Laws of Zambia.

The Workers’ Compensation Fund Control Board invites applications from suitably qualified Zambian citizens to be engaged in the following positions.

PROSECUTOR (x2)

JOB PURPOSE

To assist the Manager – Debt Management to manage the debt portfolio in accordance with legislation and the Board Policy

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To commence criminal proceedings against defaulting employers.
  • To produce system reports to assist with the recovery of all debts outstanding to the Board.
  • To liaise with the Legal department where appropriate and attend courts as required.
  • To liaise with the Legal Department to produce standard legal documents as required.
  • Deal with routine correspondence with regard to any collection or recovery issue.
  • To continually review processes and procedures and make recommendations for improvements and maintain written guidance.
  • To issue Reminders notices and summons to Customers.
  • To make and monitor arrangements for payment.
  • To liaise with outside Debt Collection agents and Bailiff agents.
  • Attend court hearings when required to assist the recovery of debt.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must have the following:

  • Grade Twelve (12) Certificate.
  • Degree in Accountancy, ACCA, CIMA, LLB or equivalent.
  • Certificate in Prosecution orAdmission to the bar
  • 2 years experience in criminal prosecutions.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Good analytical/ problem-solving skills.
  • MUST have a Valid Driver’s license of two years and above.
