WorldFish Zambia Internship Job Vacancy

INTERNSHIP (NUTRITION – SENSITIVE FISH AGRI-FOOD VALUE CHAINS IN ZAMBIA)

DESCRIPTION

Sustainable food systems are imperative to feeding the global population, and these systems are of particular importance among the poor. In Zambia, fish is of particular importance in diets to meet the needs for essential micronutrients, essential fatty acids and animal protein. Much of the fish consumed in Zambia, especially by the poor is processed fish – sun-dried, salted or smoked. A recent study has shown that fish intake is associated with a lower level of stunting in urban poor children in Lusaka.
