The company is the exclusive partner of Bajaj Auto Limited, the world’s largest exporter of motorcycles and manufacturer of Africa’s number one selling bike, the Bajaj Boxer. Job Title: Sales Team Leader

The Sales Team Leader is a management role with the overall responsibility of identifying opportunities and formally proposing and, on approval, initiating and rolling out sales strategies and actions that will profitably expedite the establishment, market domination and market growth of Yendelela. In addition, these actions will ensure the ubiquity of Bajaj motor bikes, Bajaj motor rickshaws and their genuine parts and of Bajaj as a premier brand in its segments.

The role involves managing the implementation of the sales policy and plans of Yendelela Trading in order to ensure delivery of world standard and market leading levels of sales and after sales services for it to be universally recognized and acclaimed as world class motorbike and motor rickshaw assembler and distributor.

Minimum education: Degree in any subject

Minimum experience: Three years full time experience gained within the last five year at middle management,  senior sales representative or client  relationship officer in a tangible product sales environment  with a record of success in sales linking to strategic objectives

Leadership skills: Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication and public relations skills in dealing with individuals and groups at all levels with the ability to assimilate and analyse information quickly and accurately and to think strategically, formulate decisions and made recommendations.

Required skills: A detailed knowledge of the general Zambian product sales landscape; Numerate with basic financial literacy

Preferred characteristics: Direct face-to-face selling ability

Remuneration: Fixed: K17-20,000 gross Variable: Monthly commissions on individual and team sales  Performance:Annual performance bonus of up to 10% of gross salary based on achievement of performance management objectives
