The  Rwanda Zambia HIV Research Group (RZHRG) has been a global leader in the fight against HIV/AIDS for more than 25 years, supporting Couples Voluntary Counseling and Testing (CVCT) throughout sub-Saharan Africa.

The Zambia-Emory HIV Research Project seeks the following:

Lab QA/Repository Manager-Lusaka

Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Conduct Quality Assurance Audit of lab facilities in accordance to GCLP
• Coordinate quality systems audit with clinic and data teams
• Coordinate and ensure timely submissions for various external quality assurance
• Monitor quality trends in the laboratory and report study team
• Ensure the sample repository is maintained within expected turnaround times

Qualifications required for the position:

• BSc in Biomedical or related sciences
• At least 6 months of managerial work experience
• Excellent interpersonal/communications (verbal, oral, written & electronic) skills
• Computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with Access preferred
• Knowledgeable in safety, quality control, and assurance issues in an established laboratory
• Registration with Health Professions Council of Zambia
• Preferred previous training in Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) or Good Clinical Laboratory Practices (GCLP)
• Previous research experience preferred
• Sample repository data entry and management preferred
• Able to communicate in Bemba/English
