The Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA) is an ICT Regulatory body responsible for regulating the ICT Sector in Zambia. It falls under the Ministry of Transport, Works, Supply and Communications and derives its mandate from the three Acts, the Postal Services Act No. 22 of 2009, Electronic Communications and Transactions Act No. 21 and the Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) Act No. 15 of 2009 to regulate ICTs, postal and courier services in Zambia. As conferred in the ICT Act, ZICTA also referred to as “The Authority”.

Job Title: Technician – Spectrum Monitoring and Compliance

Responsibilities

  • To assist the Spectrum Engineer with licensing of day-to-day activities of spectrum licensing and management of radio licence records
  • Data entry of license applications
  • Record management of radio licence records
  • Consultancy on general matters of spectrum licensing
  • Automated Spectrum Management System utilization and it’s day-to-day running as an aid to assigned duties
  • Preparation and printing of various radio licence documents, e.g. licences, renewal notices, under the direct of the supervisor

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Two years experience in electronics maintenance
